Crystalite, founded in 1969, and Cape Plastics, founded by Mike Cowan in 1974, provide a full service solution to the signage and plastic engineering industries.
In 2002, the two companies were consolidated to form Africa Plastics Holdings (Pty) Ltd and are currently expanding their branch base to ensure the outer reaches of the country and Sub-Saharan Africa are easily serviced.  Mike Cowan sits on the board as Chairman, having been one of the pioneers in plastics distribution in the South Africa.
